KJYO-KSHD

This Father's Day flight from my home base of Leesburg Executive (KJYO) to Shenendoah Regional Airport (KSHD) near Harrisonburg, VA was a little bumpy, but otherwise conducted in great conditions. Ground winds at KJYO were gusting to about 15kts at takeoff (from KJYO), winds at 3000 were about 25-30kts and ceilings were about 5500ft. I had intended to fly straight between the two airports at 6500ft, but the cloud base (lower than forecast) prevented that. So I cut across the the northern edge of the Shenandoah National Park into the Shenandoah Valley over Front Royal, VA. You'll notice quite a crab while on final to KSHD. Amazingly, KSHD UNICOM was reporting calm winds.
