Blogging
Blogging? What is that?
Well, basically a blog (short for "web log") is just an online diary shared with the world. The major difference is the diary isn't at all private and the readers can actually provide feedback.
But, the important thing for me is the blogware (the software that allows blogging to occur) is a form of "content management software" that allows easy updates. That means I can add new flight entries without having to constantly update the raw HTML and ASP of the "classic" version of my site. Using blogware, I can quickly and easily add new entries using a "WYSIWYG" editor - kinda like Microsoft Word. That means I save time.
Blogware allows me to categorize entries as well as track them chronologically. Another feature of blogware is search capability. This will let you search for older posts without having to load the entire set of flight entries. I can also link to other blog sites setting up a bit of a blogging network.
I've been playing with it for a couple weeks and it looks promising. I'm looking forward to "blogging" my flights.
