Crosswind Landing at KSHD

This was an interesting landing. It was a breezy day with winds reported by Shenandoah Regional (KSHD) in Staunton, VA (that's "stanton" for non-residents) as 290@12G18. I had left Winchester, VA (KOKV) and flown down the Blue Ridge (literally) to shoot a practice GPS approach into KSHD (both for currency and to collect a stamp).  Needless to say, it was a bumpy ride south along the ridge and it made the approach a bit more challenging.

After letting down to near decision height, I came out from under the hood for landing and at that time I was maintaining a right correction of about 20 degrees.  This is where the video picks up.  As it opens, the airport is nearly out of frame to the left.  About 1:10 into the video is where I establish a "sideslip" (some say "forward slip" and others say "cross-controlled") to maintain the centerline and I keep this all the way to landing.
