080502 KJYO-KISP
IFR flight from Leesburg, VA (KJYO) to Islip, NY (KISP). This is the first time I've flown to New York and I had a nice
solid cloud layer to get through before landing.
This video gives you a chance to copy a fairly complex route clearance. It also shows my getting a progressive taxi from KISP ground control. It also demonstrates how regional dialects can be difficult to pick up over the radio. OK, maybe it wasn't the dialect, but the listener. Regardless, the ground controller told me "cross runway 6/24, join taxiway Sierra to parking" and I thought he said "cross runway 6/24, join taxiway Sierra squawking.
